Tough tides early in the week but today was fantastic!

Tough fishing Wednesday and Thursday but we managed to get a few. Today was much better! 8 Chinook to the boat, several black mouth and an Ocean Coho!

Beautiful weather and a great group of experienced fishermen on board made for a great day!

Amazing week on the sound!

Very busy week with visitors from Hong Kong, Chicago, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, New Jersey, and more. I love meeting people from all over the world and locals too!

The salmon fishing is the best its been in several years. The Chinook Salmon (King Salmon) seem much larger this year! All trips have caught and released Chinook and Coho (Silvers) and yesterday we netted several Pink Salmon. Todays trip was a group in town for a wedding and we got into the Chinook on the very first drop! The groom caught three kings in a row. It was a very memorable day with perfect weather. Mt Rainier and Mt. Baker were stunning. The weather looks great for the next few weeks.

Chinook retention in Area 10 starts this week. I still have one day open on the 26th if anyone is interested. Several spots the first week of August. Great opportunity to bring home a 12-20+ pound Chinook!

The KINGS are here!

Great week of fishing! Chinooks are cruising the sound and aren’t shy. Fishing with light tackle and mooching is the best! Here’s one caught and released Friday the 12th at 3pm….its not only a morning game.

Chinook catch and keep starts the 25th. I have a few opening that will fill up soon. Call to book a trip or if you have your own boat get out on the water!

Outstanding fishing over the 4th of July Weekend

Puget Sound was shining this weekend! King around in great numbers and many were caught and release. Area 10 opens later this month and area 11 is now open for hatchery King retention. Were still catching resident silvers each trip but it seems to have slowed down a bit with the recent large tides. July is my favorite month!

The resident silvers is still on fire and more and more Kings are showing up! July dates are filling quickly. Call to get your trip booked!

The morning started off WINDY! Once the wind died down we got into the area 10 resident silvers. Fun fish to catch and eat but I can’t wait for the sound to fill up with Kings!

They’re small but super fun to catch with light gear and they are THE best tasting salmon! 2-5 lb average and limits all week!

Been a busy month...

Been working on my house and helping my parents with their boat repair.…Not a lot of time to post! New roof is on the house which means its time to focus on Salmon Season.

The early season started off slow for the resident silvers but has picked up in recent days. The fish are small but fun and they only get bigger. The migratory fish will build over the month and July looks to be exciting.

The annual FOUR HOUR shimping opener was a blast

Seattle typically gets a one or two day 4-6 hour spotted prawn season. The bag limit is 80 per angler. The weather cooperated and we had a great day on the water. A nuclear Submarine even surfaced with Mt Rainier in the back ground. Limits were bagged by 9am and the rest of the morning was spent in search of lingcod!
