Deposit Policy

10% trip deposit is due at the time of booking in order to save your trip date and time. The deposit is due when dates are confirmed with the captain. Online bookings require deposit to book.  All deposits are Credit/Debit card processed securely using Square as the processing provider. Remaining balance is due on trip date. Cash, Credit Card and Zelle accepted on the boat. Should you be eligible for a deposit refund a 3% handling fee on all deposit cancellations as the credit card processing companies no longer refund fees on refunds.

Cancellation Policy

10-day notice of cancellation is required for deposit refund. Refund is Deposit amount less a 3% card fee charge.

Less than 7-day notice of cancellation customers are charged 85% full trip price unless the date is booked by another party. During July and August, it’s often the case that we can find another group, and we will make every effort to do so to help you out.

No show charged full trip price. No refund of deposit and remaining balance charged to card. Shared trip anglers will be considered a no show 15 minutes after the agreed start date of the shared charter.  Please contact the captain as soon as possible if you are not on time.

We fish in all weather conditions, come prepared with lots of layers and rain gear, sunglasses, hat and camera! Typically, late September-November are the months we fish that rainy conditions exist, but it is Seattle, and we are known for cloudy wet weather. We offer Grunden’s weather gear but cannot guarantee all sizes.

We do not provide refunds or discounts for fish retention quantities, fishing methods, or unfavorable weather conditions. We make all efforts to get our customers fish but cannot guarantee fish catch or retention quantities, weather conditions or which fishing methods are used.

Any and all refunds or discounts for completed trips are determined by the captain working with the customer prior to final payment. Final payments are non-refundable and non-disputable.

Captain may cancel your trip if small craft weather advisory is issued, or the captain believes the sea conditions are too difficult for the fishing. You will receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule at a later date and receive a 10% discount. Weather cancellations are very rare in the summer months.

Other important information

Washington State saltwater fishing license is required. One Day Fishing License can be purchased on the boat for $13.73. This is the best way to go to be sure you have the correct license. The state allows this process to make it easy for you to get on the water. If you do bring your own license, you must have a printed catch card. It cannot be a photo on your phone. So, if you buy from the state, please allow several weeks for your license to be mailed to you.

Credit Card Convenience Charge $10 per person or $40 for a Private Boat

Cash is also accepted, and we are testing Zelle soon as an option as well to avoid any of us paying the credit card company fee!
